Lila's first ever (and last?!) ballet performance!

They were jester "puppets" in the performance and while the costumes were a bit funny at first, they grew on me, especially seeing all the dancers in them huddled together.
Their instructor here is giving them each "silly bands" as a gift, right before the performance.
Before we head up backstage for our turn, they're watching a live feed of what's happening on stage. A concept!

I do this for faraway family, to keep you updated. I do it for the kids, who love to look at it, as I loved pouring over photo albums as a child. I do it for me, to track some of our footsteps; sometimes I feel like it's the one thing I can accomplish - and I have, since spring of 2006, a chronological flash of our lives...
