this tree was high, and Lila was scared initially, but got it up there and was so proud after!
her tree outgrew her this year!
This is our new Christmas Eve tradition: outdoor wienie roast! We cooked crab outside too and ate while the kids watched a movie. Perfection!
Pillow pets were at the top of their wish list all season long. If only gift giving for them could always be that easy!

I do this for faraway family, to keep you updated. I do it for the kids, who love to look at it, as I loved pouring over photo albums as a child. I do it for me, to track some of our footsteps; sometimes I feel like it's the one thing I can accomplish - and I have, since spring of 2006, a chronological flash of our lives...
